I’m feeling all jittery today because my wife and kids are off on holiday. Conveniently she has a group of friends who are also parents, so they have all gone to Butlins for the week together. This arrangement is handy as I would find the travel and staying away really difficult. Bognor is only 50 or so miles away - about 2 hours – but this is outside my ‘safe range’.
The thought of them being away is making me feel pretty anxious which is quite annoying because I should be relieved! Four days with no wife or kids should be bliss. Hopefully the nerves will wear off when I crack open a beer after work and play computer games all evening.
