Bit of back story for those who haven't read my other threads.

Had a bad cold in April, swollen lymph nodes under both sides of jaw afterwards, went to the drs late June, during this time I had no symptoms other than these raised lymph nodes (left bigger than right) and a slight whistling sound when breathing out (no issue breathing). Dr checked my breathing and said it was all clear, and my bloods came back totally clear and normal, she said she wasn't concerned in the slightest. About 2 weeks ago I woke up on the Monday and my left cheek and neck felt swollen and numb, it didn't look swollen and my lymph nodes haven't grown. Anyway my numbness went down over a few days and I let it go, had one of my best weeks and a half in months with the worrying, had a feel of my nodes at one point and both had shrunk alot. Continued to forget about it.

Then yesterday for some reason I googled the numbness in my cheek and there was one place that named it a symptom of lymphoma, in the arms and legs but very occasionally in the cheek and neck of people who have relapsed. Now I've never had any cancer beforehand but this has me worried and I am scared that this is happening now. I was feeling around alot last night and sure enough woke up this morning with that same numbness and feeling of swelling back. The whistling sound has gone down to almost nothing over the past 2 weeks or so as I've started to relax but now this numbness is back it's all going crazy in my head again.

Is this something I should be terrified of or is this all stress related due to constant fear? Can stress really cause all this?

poking and feeling around might cause swelling. If you are very concerned talk to your doctor once. Avoid googling, it does no good.

First thing avoid google for medical advice, it never helps people like us.

Second talk to your Doctor/GP they know a lot about this kind of thing after all they are the people that send you to a specialist when they are concerned so they know what to look out for, try and trust your Doctor/GP its hard but its something we must do.

Third when you go to your Doctor/GP actually talk to them about your HA and stress they may be able to help you my GP did and I know feel better than I have in recent months.

Peace
