Yellowy discharge

Sorry this sounds horrible and I can't believe it's Saturday morning and I'm up having a full on panic. Yesterday, towards the end of the day when I went to toilet I noticed I was getting thick yellowy vaginal discharge. I tried not to worry and went to bed but have woken up in a massive panic as to what it could be.
I have avoided looking on the internet as I'm really trying not to do that and terrified what I might see. I have recently had a smear test which was fine. It's also the weekend so can't see the doctor.

Symptoms like this are more common than you would think. I would book an appointment to see your GP but by the sounds of what you describe, I am almost certain that you are simply suffering from thrush. This doesn't always come from sexual contact. It can be random as well. Canesten cream (or steroid cream) will clear this up in a few weeks. You can pick it up from Boots or similar retailers but I would go and see your GP first.
