anyone able to advise on support groups?

I was wondering if anyone had ever tried support groups for anxiety and related issues, or, if anyone knows if they exist on the nhs and how you go about attending them? I live in the Yorkshire area of the UK. I'm so nervous to go to my gp to enquire about this as I've not found them too helpful with anxiety related issues :lac: thank you xx
