Mortgage or rent worried

I have been offered a mortgage I stay at home with parents however moving out with girlfriend I would rather rent however grudge the high price of it however a mortgage is a big commitment and the house needs the odd thing like new windows which could be a few grand on the long turn and increasing interest rates and insurances seem a big stress for me.

Anybody else been in this situation? :blush:

What does your girlfriend have to say? I would do a list of pros and cons...see what wins x
