interesting yes but its not regulated by the FDA and different manufacturers would give different doses.You are also self medicating not under a doctors supervision which is definitely not recommended

If you plan on doing this, make sure you investigate whether there are interactions with the alcohol you are using e.g. on Drugs.com's interaction checker or on WebMD (searching on St. John's Wort).

This is a study for depression though. They think it keeps more Serotonin in play but they don't seem sure. This might mean it helps with anxiety too since thats what SSRI's are initially doing until after about 4 weeks when they reduce the number of receptor sites to stop it being wasted.

Look up MBCT, it has be found as effective as some meds for recurrent depression relapse prevention.
