Had a tooth removed on Monday & been in the most excrusiating pain since. Literally agony. Saw dentist today he said it's an infected dry socket. Flushed it out & packed it. Gave me anti bios. Just said that should be it. Not to return to have it repacked etc. Is this normal?

Yes it is normal and often happens after a tooth extraction. I had mine packed and was given antibiotics. Did he tell you to rinse with salt water? I rinsed with salt water 3 times a day.

Iv had that twice. I feel your pain. Ouch. I actually ended up in hospital because I was in that much pain I ended up taking too many paracetomol and ibuprofen. Felt like I was flying lol. That stuff they use to pack it is horrible xx

Mine was only packed once and I flew to Croatia 2 days later. I was fine. Just make sure you rinse with salt water and take the full course of antibiotics.

antibiotics take a while so make sure you do complete the full course. take some painkillers too.
