This is the 2nd time I have not been able to sleep now. But this time I have to be up for work at 5am and it's 2 now. I have bad anxiety and feeling restless I have been up 19 hrs already and I'm not feeling tired and have to do a 12 hr shift tomoz...anyone got any advice?

Have you any relaxing music? Lie and think of pleasant things. Let the anxiety wash away over you. Resting is better than not sleeping at all.
Are you fretting about something? You can't do anything about it at 2am, so try to clear your mind.

Hi thanks for your reply....I think I'm getting more anxious at the fact I can't sleep and I gotta be up soon....I think also I been doing night shifts it could be my body clock...I always have high levels of anxiety and get like this but I usually sleep after a while.

Yah many of us seem to be like this!

Probably all the adrenaline and stuff of anxiety >.<

My sleep is awful but if I know I have to be up early for something I will not sleep at all, even if I'm super tired.

I found that listening to a podcast of a deep muscle relaxation really helped me when I couldn't sleep x

Going to the docs today for some sleeping pills....This is my second day if not sleeping...I can feel the adrenaline all over and the anxiety.....I just can't relax....I'm on propanolol but that doesn't seem to have worked :-(
