Sepsis fear, help

So, my skin got injured a bit from my new shoes... it isn`t very big, it`s a small piece of skin that is peeled and now it looks like a sore. It hasn`t been bleeding at all. But i feel some pain in that area now. and it`s a bit red. i know it`s unlikely but is it possible to get sepsis from this. I know i may be unreasonable but i`m really scared of sepsis it`s my ultimate fear. I need some reassurance.

Categorically, no! No, no and no. You have the beginnings of a blister and it may turn into a blister. Stop wearing the new shoes for a couple of days, keep a plaster on the sore area to protect it (to stop it hurting, nothing more sinister) and you will be fine. Best wishes from Annie

Not at all hun, I also worry about this as my skin is prone to infection, but from what you've described I'd say most definitely no, keep it clean and covered and it will heal soon. Xxx
