Hi everyone,

I bought some magnesium today after watching a video by Dr Sanjay Gupta, a cardiologist in York. He suggests magnesium can be very helpful in those who experience palpitations, ectopics, pvc's etc, even stopping the palpitations in some people.

Has anyone tried taking magnesium supplements? There is a certain kind he recommends but I only managed to purchase magnesium oxide in pill form, one a day, 375 mg.

I use magnesium taurate as taurine apparently helps with arrhythmia's in some people. I still get ectopics but they don't feel as strong now :)

Magnesium Oxide turns to Milk Of Magnesia when it hits the water in your stomach. Both of these forms (plus Citrate) are known to cause some gastric effects as they are aimed at that or to resolve constipation, when you reach a certain dose. Those threads will give you an idea of some other forms you can try which are less likely to cause these effects and more absorbable.
