freaking out about chest pain

Hi,

I've had chest pain coming and going for nearly 2 years now, but it has been fairly mild and non existent for a while now. For the last 24 hours I have been getting really severe stabbing and dull aching pains in my left chest area, it is really worrying me, I get some stabbing sharp pains and last night I had really dull aching pain that almost made me feel sick. I'm really panicking about what this is, I have had an ecg about a month ago which was normal but I'm really panicking about my heart etc.

Can anyone give any advise or reassurance on this, what else other than my heart could be causing chest pain like this? It is scaring me that the pain is making me feel slightly sick as I've never had this.

I wish I could offer reassurance but it's difficult to say what it is. It could be heart, stomach, muscles, nerves, etc. You should of course see a doctor about it.

Does it have any relationship to anything else? Or is it random?
