I dont feel reassured even though iv had four ultrasounds on a lump that sits at top of my abdomen on my rib. Iv also seen specialists who have all said lump feels benign. When i go for ultrasounds they can feel lump but cant see on screen. Im petrofied its being missed. Iv read so much that they not the most accurate scan im panicking its not a correct diagnosis.

everyone says i should be greatful nothing has been found but i just focus on the fact i can feel it and its a lump. Dr said would remove if something was seen on scan but it wasnt.

anyone else been in this situation. Also iv had this lump over two years has not grown.

thanks

if you have had that lump for over two years and no other symptoms along with 7 ultrasounds, I think it is pretty safe to say you are ok.

I have had a lump for over 8 years on my neck, i was told it was nothing serious after 1 ultrasound, they only took it out because it was becoming really noticeable.

So i wouldn't worry if it was only a lump, if you want it removed you should see your GP and discuss it with them, and see what he's opinion is.

Believe me i want it removed. Dr said if nothing seen on ultrasound hes reluctant to try and remove because will prob cause me more probs scar tissue etc. I hope ultrasound is pretty accurate its taking over again fear its cancer

I've had MANY ultrasounds for different things including suspected breast cancer. They are experts at what they do and can tell a normal lump from cancer... and IF there is any doubt they biopsy.

You have to believe your dr.

They can all feel lump but nothin shows on ultrasound so just says its fatty lobulated tissue. Drs wont remove for me or biopsy. I think bout it every day iv had this over two years now thinkin its something bad. I hate it

I would have jumped for joy if I were told by one doctor that the swollen node I had was benign and nothing to worry about. I wasn't that lucky. You've had four medical professionals and scientific tests determine this something benign. If that doesn't convince you, I don't know what can.
