Hi all, :D

I started hypnotherpy a couple of months ago and have had 2 sessions so far. Since I have started this an appointment came through for me to have CBT training which I have had 1 session so far. My CBT therapist says there are 8 in total then a review.

My question being is it ok to have both at once? or should I take up the hpnotherapy again perhaps once Iv'e finished the CBT? [Duh!]

Any Ideas [?] Cheers as I don't want to send my mind crazier [:P] then it already is LOL!

Take care all ;)

Hi Pips

Often the CBT lot don't like you to have both at once so its up to you whether you mention it or not but there is no harm in it and may even reinforce the CBT messages further.

I've found the hypnotherapy people generally don't mind and will often follow their sessions along a similar line as the CBT people if you tell them what you've covered. Discuss with the hypnotherapist if unsure .

Anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind.
If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.

Pips

I would do both.

I loved the hypnotherapy for relaxation and the CBT for realistic goals to reach.

Good luck.
