View Full Version : Don't want medication, but I think I need to

Hi.
At the end of last year, I was prescribed Lovan (fluoxetine) at a low dose for my many anxiety issues. This was mainly because I was then just about to start year 11, and I needed to be ok for the exams. However, I ended up in hospital on New Years eve and remained for two days after due to tachycardia (around 140bpm) which was later determined to be likely related to the medication. Since then I have refused to take any medication for anxiety (I take Concerta for ADD), because I'm worried that what happened previously was a drug induced long QT syndrome. Would they have found evidence of this if this was the case? So many people are pressing me to get medication, but I just don't want to die.
Is there anyone who had similar experiences or who could help alleviate my fears?
