my diarrhea looks like dirt? is my stomach bleeding?

hello. back from a long time of no worries. i was amazing while it lasted.

now im here about my diarrhea.
uhh.. it looks like dirt!
it apparently means you have digested blood in your stool.
but wait. no it doesn't. at least I think. melena is digested blood. its black and tarry and smells foul.
now I know coffee grounds vomit means blood. but not the same case with poop right? :(

It's just a guess, but diarrhoea tends to come out quicker than a normal bowel movement, therefore moving through the bowel quicker...meaning if there was any blood in your stomach/bowel it would not yet have had the chance to turn the usual black/tar colour that they say is old blood in a normal bowel movement. I think diarrhoea just tends to look a bit like dirt with everyone!:(

yeah. I was told vomitng "coffee grounds" is bad... no where on the internet besides question and answering like yahoo answers have said it means blood. today my bowel movements were pretty normal. so I hope it was just typical diarrhea!

Blood in your stool from higher up in the bowel or digestive track (Melena) appears as a black and tarry substance, foul smelly too (apparently). I have spent many a hour researching this. I love HA!
