I've been stopped at airports because they think I have something on me. They use the little hand metal detector and it goes off when they scan my hip.
A colleague was messing around with a hand metal detector today and it went off on my hip again (not wearing a belt or trousers with studs on, nothing in pocket).
I called my doctor and he explained it's not possible to have metal on you unless you got into an accident or had a hip replacement. Neither has happened to me.
It doesn't hurt, it's just pretty odd and I'm concerned that it might be a symptom of something else. My do metal detectors go off?!
I asked the doctor if it may be a build-up of iron or something and he said I'd be dead by now if it was...
I don't know what to think.
