Yesterday's doctor visit...perspective!

So after worrying obsessively for two months now over a streak on my nail and thinking the worst, I went to the dermatologist yesterday.

He took one look and said, "oh you have linear pigmentation. It's nothing." I said, "that's all? it's nothing bad?"

His response, "where would you get an idea like that?"

"Well, I saw this thing on th..." and before I could even finish my thought he said "It's NOT melanoma! Stay off the internet!"
And that was that!

Exactly! I think with the media and forums like this, we think that bad illness are the norm when they really aren't. I hope you celebrated and find a way to move on from your health anxiety now
