Cold/blocked nose - Panicking

Hi everyone I have had a cold working on me last few days and tonight my nose is totally blocked and my voice is almost gone. I live myself and I'm feeling very panicky right now that I can't breathe.
Anyone else get this?
I hate that the common cold has got me posting on a forum

When I first had anxiety/panic attacks, I felt like I couldn't breathe, and ended up in a sheer panic which made me sob. That would then cause my nose to block up and that would make me 20 times worse. Have you tried a nasal spray? If you don't have one but have some vicks/baby snuff/karvol/anything menthol lol then put some in a bowl of boiling water and sit with your face over it and a towel over your head and the bowl x

You're probably panicking because your nose is blocked it's making you feel like you can't breathe so that's mimicking a panic attack. Breathe through your mouth instead.

When I last had a heavy cold I put a little dab of Vicks inside each nostril and it helped me to breathe more easily.
