Feels like I have a lump in my back

Hi Guys i'm new here I hope u are all well and doing okay.

So I had a bad sore throat for a while, and went to my G.P

He referred me for a fast track Camera Job as he couldn't see anything.

Any way after I had a constant dry throat-then the need 2 swallow constantly, Finally now I feel i have a lump in my oesophagus not just when i swallow, in my mid back.

could this be anxiety as these symptoms didn't start till a week ago after G.P

Obviously i'm convinced i have oesophagus cancer, I have tests on 15th but i'
m in bits.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Feeling of lump in throat or lower down is very common with anxiety, its due to the muscles being in spasm in your throat etc.
I am guessing you are having an endoscopy (gastroscopy) so they can look from your mouth down to your stomach and duodemum. Acid reflux can also cause all your symptoms but again this is easily treated.
Its very very unlikely that this is due to anythng sinister but your Dr is doing the right thing in getting you a scope.
