I was on 20mg of Citalopram for 8 months, but I felt they were not really were helping me. I was tired all the time and felt 'heady' and generally ill, so after speaking to my GP I stopped them about 2 weeks ago.
Stopping the meds is the best thing I have ever done! I am back to feeling 'normal', I sleep less in the day and no longer have a 'woozy' head all the time. Looking back, I feel I was 'drugged' for 8 months. Obviously the meds just did not suit me, but I would never take any antidepressents again after my experience.
I know some of us NEED meds, but do not be afraid to speak to your GP if you are feeling bad - perhaps you need to change your pills - or come off them altogether and look at alternatives.
Love to all
