Cold symptoms, after how many days?

I`m so angry now... my dad got a cold like 3 days ago and today i had to spend my whole day at home since it`s weekend and they wanted me to have lunch and other formalities with them. I`m eating apples thhe whole day and taking vitamin C and i`m so so anxious cause i don`t want to get a cold right now. I just felt the need to yell at him and didn`t talk to anyone cause they know i have HA and still make me sit with someone who has a cold. I have spent time with him since he got the virus but today i felt like it was too much
Since he got the symptoms like 3 days ago does it mean that if i have it i would have symptoms till now? And how many days is he able to spread the virus?

Supplements do not help prevent common cold.

Common cold is spread by coughing and sneezing, by touching the infected person's hands and touching objects after he touched them. You can't realistically avoid all this, so what you can do is to wash hands frequently and avoid touching your mouth, nose or eyes with the hands.
