New medication, pantoprazole scared of effects...

Ive had a problem taking new meds since one of em sent me to the ER... now ive got pentoprazole because my doctor thinks acid is eating at my throat. Ive read all about it like an idiot and now im too scared to take it but too scared not to. Mostly of an allergic reaction or seizure or something. Anyone have any advice?

My friend takes this for barratts oesphagus and she has had the least side effects of all the proton pump inhibitor meds. She tried the other two omeprazole and lanzoprazole and got dreadful side effects but she has been fine on pantoprazole.

I've been on Pantoprazole for a couple of years now. Best thing I've ever taken for acid stomach and reflux!
