Last Thursday I had to have a cytoscopy for urethral pain and burning. It was getting better on it's own by the time the appointment came round which I told the consultant but she said best to check. So the actual scope was fine and then she said she would dilate my urethra as was narrow ish. I wasn't prepared for this and am still in lots of pain, back to square one with the urethral pain now. Gp says give it time to settle. It is burning, aching, constant urge to go to the loo, no infection.... I can't stop thinking she did it wrong and pierced my bladder, wrecked my muscles, created a new passage - everyone tells me I am being stupid, but why is it hurting so much more than it was before. Wish I had never gone.... :(
