Hi everyone so I post here a couple weeks back about been really worried about finding red marks on my nipple. I have finally made a doctor apointment but it's not until next Friday as that the only time my BF can come with me I am so stressed out with worry . I keep waking up in the middle of the nights having panic attacks. I am so convinced I have pagets breast disease even though I am only 20 and have no itching, pain, discharge or any other symptoms accept red spots on nipple :( I am so worried about the doctor referring me to a breast specialist I just can't eat think or function :( . I go to collge but do mostly online classes so I am in the house all day by myself so I can't distract myself with work or people. How do you keep positive and calm ? The only thing that's helping me is clinging on to the last bit I hope I have . I'm a mess with worry please help x

Hi hun, sorry to hear about your worries, you've made an appointment with gp, there's nothing more you can do. I worked myself into a state over oral cancer, didn't eat, was like a zombie, went to dentist and cried with relief when he said it was nothing.
Many things can cause spots, hormone changes, diet, toiletries, etc.
Tell yourself you've made an appointment to get it checked out and that you can't do anymore than that, it maybe by next week they'll have gone.

Pagets disease is extremely rare, and even more rare in women under 50.
Pagets is worst case scenario, but even so, it can be treated. There are so many other explanations for this also, your bra could be rubbing, seat belt rubbing, colder weather, hormonal changes, could you be pregnant?
Don't waste a week of your life hun, I've been there and done that on too many occasions, and the result ends up being extreme high anxiety for nothing, never has my worse case scenario been diagnosed.

Thank u that reassures me a little :) I am Defo not pregnant but I am due my period any day now. And I guess your right it could be my bra as i always have it on unless am in the shower and my nipple do tend to get squashed and I also use scented body lotion on my breasts when in the shower and do get rashes on my chest often so hopefully it's just irritation also I have been pregnant before so maybe AV just not noticed it before

I did the same thing with the oral cancer thing, I imagined rounds of testing, treatment etc, my dentist took one look and said it's absolutely fine, got the practice manager in for extra reassurance for me, who also said it was fine, the reason I'm saying this is because I'd worked myself into such a state for a week beforehand to the point I wasn't eating or sleeping.
