View Full Version : Start my new job tomorrow and panic panic panic!!
Hey guys!
I've been doing great these days and I've recently landed a job in NEXT! (Yesss!!) But the past week I've been stressing and worrying so much about it I've had panic attacks daily! I can barely eat, sleep or even go out because I feel so I'll! ( probably from lack of sleep and food!) And I just really need reassurance. I start tomorrow and I haven't had a job in two years and I'm terrified I'm gonna panic on my first day and lose my job! :((:doh::unsure:
Congratulations. Anticipatory anxiety and probably excitement. You know how to deal with panics brething exercises etc. Everybody is nervous on their first day your emplyer will expect it. You'll do great. Come back tomorrow and let us know if you enjoyed it
I am starting a new job soon just waiting for the start date. I also feel anxious about it but I'll go with a open mind and think positive. Not knowing what to expect and not knowing anyone makes it more difficult to settle in. I've moved to and from a few places so feel unsettled at work but I am hoping this time it will go better.

My cousin started a new job last week.
He doesn't suffer anxiety. B t was nervous all week before he started couldn't eat or sleep the weekend before.
So, its perfectly 'normal' to have anticipatory anxiety

Don't worry Xilvey. I'm sure that the first day will be fine. As other people have been saying it's normal to feel anxious before starting something new, especially a job.
I did a second interview for a new job last week. I am hoping to hear some news tomorrow and I hope that it will be positive :)

Oh guys it went brilliantly! I was almost in tears on the way up but I stood tall,marched on and bossed it! I actually really enjoyed and everyone in there was lovely! My boyfriend had a subway just how I like it waiting for mw when ivw finished and I feel so good about myself!

Sometimes worrying help us prepare better.:) But we never should let worry control us. Just have it moderately to help us push further.
