I was getting out of the booth at this really old restaurant and had to put my hand down for support. I looked down and it was a painted wooden booth. I'm really worried that I now have lead on my skin. I've washed my hands twice but can't shake the feeling that hand is "contaminated". Any insight or advice?

I grew up with lead paint in my walls and toys, and lead in the gasoline that was being pumped out all around from cars.

I presume you didn't eat any of the lead? In any case, adverse affects of lead occur over long periods of exposure (regular contact over months and years!) and only when it reaches certain levels.

Even if the paint you touched had lead in it, which is extremely unlikely these days, it wouldn't do anything to you.
