I would really like to chat with someone who has recent experience of Mirtazapine, or is currently taking this particular AD.
I started on 15 mg 4 weeks ago, and it initially helped with my sleep - really well, and I slept for around 6 - 7 hours . This changed a couple of weeks ago, and since Tuesday this week I have been taking 30mg.
I am still sleeping reasonably well - around 5 hours each night (I would like a little more sleep - but it is better than nothing !), and I think my anxiety is less - I am certainly not experiencing the awful tight chest, rapid heartbeat etc, although I am still a bit jittery - (I think it is unused nervous energy).
Is there anybody else on NMP who is currently taking Mirtazapine ? Anybody out there who has found that Mirt has helped them beat depression and anxiety ?
I've had a couple of traumatic events this year and one of them has made (and continues to make me anxious); I know Mirt cannot make the event go away but can it eventually hep me cope better ?
