Mass on mastoid?

I've had this long, squidgy mass on my mastoid which sometimes feels softer and sometimes feels harder.. It's not like a pea that everyone else says their lump is like.. it feels several cm in length and currently feels fairly soft/squidgy I have had this for several years and believe I recall the doctor saying it's nothing.. However I don't know if this is my HA or my obsession with prodding but it feels larger... does anyone know what it could be? I do not recall any ear infections as a child thanks.

Could it be a lymph node. I'm not a doctor but one of my swollen nodes is on the bone and it is shaped like a small broad bean. They do get swollen if you keep touching them to be honest.

I have one too and so does my friend. Really common, don't give it a second throught X
