A few days ago about 7pm I had just finished feeding my dogs when I noticed the inside of my wrist was really itchy. I looked and saw that I had a surface graze that had swollen up and looked a bit hive-y.
I've no idea what I scratched it on. The last hour had been: talking to a Red Cross lady at the front door, heating my dinner and then opening a new bag of dog food and feeding my dogs. I had a feeling it might have been when I opened the dog food since the opening edges of those bags are sharp.
The swelling went down after about an hour or two and was only a little itchy the next day. After that it healed fine. The swelling just really freaked me out. It looked like a paper cut and hardly broke the skin (didn't even draw blood!)
Called my doctor and he said it wasn't anything to worry about but I'd feel better knowing if this happened to anyone else :)
