Hi

I know its not much but i just did my excercise DVD.
I have got H/Anxiety mostly concerning my heart and have been avoiding doing anything that gets it pounding.
Well i did it and nothing bad happened:) and i actually enjoyed it!!!
I am going to try to do it at least three times a week from now on.
Not a big deal i know but it was to me.

You did brilliant mate, never class anything as 'not much' anything that we find very hard to do and we achieve it is well worth shouting about and feeling proud of. well done you :)

Rosebud - I totally relate to this one as I had a fear of exercise awhile back.

I bought a mini trampolene to jog on to try and get over this stress thing I had about my heart beating too fast. We just stared at each other for the first few days, before I managed just to stand on the blessed thing.

Anyway hun you should see me now on it - jigging around doin cartwheels to all the best in 70's disco music :o

So a big well done to you :emot-partyblower:

Keep it up Rosebud. Exercise was probably the one major factor in helping me control anxiety, and I had the same worries about my heart.

The more you exercise, the less anxiety you will feel (well thats the theory ;) )

Good Luck

Hi

Thanks for all your replies. I am determined to keep at it.
Although Piglet i can't see me getting a trampoline anytime soon. I would probably end up in traction !!

Hi Cazza

Thats what i'me hoping for.
How are things with you ?
Are the ectopics getting any better?
I hate the damn things. I think my dislike and fear of them keeps them going.
Hope the excercise will help.

I have the same problem with exercise. I can do it for about seven minutes and then the anxiety takes over and I convince myself that if I carry on I will faint. It's so horrible because I love dancing and swimming.
I completely understand how great that is! Don't put yourself down.
Now you've done it once, you'll have no trouble doing it again and again.
What exercise video did you use and how long was it?

Hi Issy

It's Bev Callards off Coronation Street.
Bought it a couple of years ago, more for my age bracket i thought lol.
Theres two workouts. I did the short one.
My bloody legs are killing me this morning lol.

Tracey

I have those Bev Callard workouts - they are fab. I lost loads of weight doing them.

How is it going now - still ok?

Hi Nic

Yes they are good. Only managed to do it once last week.
Gonna have to force myself to do it more often, it's just finding the time.
Sometimes when i get home from work i'me absolutely shattered so can't be bothered. Exercise definatley lifts your mood, no doubt about it.

Not just traction either if you don't wear an exceedingly good bra!! :D

Well done Tracey. Don't downplay your massive success.
Having had the same fears as you I know what a great achievement you have made.

Stick with it. I agree with the others, it definitely reduces anxiety level over the long term.
Can't comment on the bra situation though..........honest!! :D

I really really want one of those mini trampolines but I doubt my downstairs neighbour would be happy :lac:  .

Maybe I should get one and use it anyway. :sign20:
