I have a mole, it hasn't changed in appearance.
It's under my arm and my 3 year old constantly picks it off, I've been to the dr 4 times about it - most recent was last week.
The dr says it's fine.
However it's dry and I can scrap off dry mole with my finger!
I'm sure it's not fine and will go to a specialist to get them to remove it.
I'm terrfified it's cancer - has anyone else had this?
When I went to the dr I had put Vaseline on it so she didn't see it was all dry and flakey however she did look at it with a special machine.

Could they get it wrong?
Anyone else had a dry mole that turned out to be ok?
It's not bleeding - it's just dry.
It's not sore and it's not itchy!

So scared!!

Of course, it's still skin. The GP knows that to look for, you have to trust them. Put some moisturiser on it and stop letting your kid pick it off, hehe. I have one on my face that gets a black head in and I have to squeeze it as it fills up, gross beyond belief 😷😷😷😷

I have the same thing. I think mine will eventually disappear.
I am duly concerned about it. If it started to bleed then I would be.x

I had an itchy bleeding mole removed...turned out it was nothing.

I blame newspapers scaremongering...

Thanks Guys, I actually think it was the top I wearing as it rubbed directly on it - not as dry today, but you're right, Dr's do know, I just worry that they might miss something as I've heard of it happening!

I had pimples in my moles too so weird! so yucky as well ha ha.
This mole is still dry, I can put oil on it - baby oil and it's fine looks fine but then the next day its all dry again!
Do you think the Dr would have missed something as the day I saw her it was actually fine?

The answer is Yes... moles can be as you described. I have one near my right armpit. Being that you've had it for such a long time and the fact it hasn't changed makes it obvious it's not sinister. This begs to be asked... If it's it's under your arm, how the heck is your 3yo picking it off?
