View Full Version : Swimming tomorrow, scared of long QT

Hey, everyone :)
I'm get kind of worried about doing club swimming tomorrow because I'm worried I could have long QT syndrome and that I'll just get a cardiac arrest there and then:weep:.
I'm trying to remind myself that I've had multiple ECGs before (one time was after I had a heart rate of over 200 after taking flouroxitine), which have never detected any serious problem.
I've been sporadically worried about this many times before, but it's back in the spotlight because my psychiatrist this week organised routine tests before trying new medications, which I have now done and are now waiting for the results - in another 2 weeks! One of these include an ECG.
I don't know what I should do at the swimming. There's no way I can get out of it, and I don't know if swimmming slowly would look stupid. I just want to be free of this anxiety. Is anyone able to offer me any advice. it would be much appreciated.
regards, Peterthegreatworrier, and happy holidays.
