Period every 2 weeks, worrying

Hi, I'm 28 years old and for last 2 months have had a period every 2 weeks. Or at least what I think is a period. Around ovulation I'm getting a good 5 days of brown bleeding with sometimes a bit of red blood.

I have a doctors appointment for Tuesday.

Terrified. Googled and like usual wish I hadn't. Has anyone had this before?

I don't get symptoms like with a period and am not on contraception and have been with the same partner for 4 years.

Any replies welcome.

Anyone? Went to doctors today and she wanted to do tests but I had my 18mo son with me who wouldn't keep still. Really worrying :(

My wife had something like this. The. It just stopped.

Isn't it called spotting or something?

She said it's because she's getting old

Yeah it's called spotting. I'm still in my 20's so really not sure what it is. Will just have to wait for the tests and try not to worry. (Too much)
