I just have a question. I'm seriously trying not to freak out and ive done rather well. After the first of the year, when my insurance kicks in, ill finally be able to see a dentist and get a full extraction and dentures.... not much to extract really since i have maybe 9 teeth remaining. Anyways, in one of my empty sockets where a tooth fell out, i have this extra piece of gum (i think) that is hanging down. i can actually push it back up into my socket with my tongue. i dont want to pull it out or attempt to considering i dont know what the hell this is. it doesnt hurt... more annoying. Any ideas?

I know this isn't helpful at all but every time I hear about how the US healthcare system works I'm so thankful we have 'socialised' healthcare. Having to wait to get your teeth fixed just seems unconscionable in such a wealthy country.

Anyway, is there anyone you can ask about it, like a free clinic or something? Or could you ask online on a site like this one?
