Tongue Cancer? Someone help me.

I had a weird pimple like sore on my tongue that has come and gone the past 2 weeks. Now I noticed a patch next to the sore that's rough. I am literally stricken with severe panic and fear. I've been crying for hours. Google didn't help and has me convinced I have oral cancer. Is there anyone that can calm my fears?

Cancer is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells. It doesn't come and go nor does it stop once it starts.
