Hey all!
I have had this tiny just under pea sized lump just under the skin in the left side of my neck just above the collar bone for months and months now, it scoots about under my finger i only have to press lightly to feel it so it is very very mobile. First time i felt it it didnt bother me at all until just now. I dont want to go to the GP as deep down I know its nothing to worry about and it would make my HA alot worse again and i am doing very well in my CBT sessions at the moment.

It feels like a small bubble under the skin. It does seem to have gotten a tiny bit smaller. Can lumps stay there for a long period of time and not be worrisome? Does anyone else have anything like this?

Thanks for reading!

Usually if its movable, its some sort of cyst. If you've had it for a long time and it hasn't grown or noticed another others, its most likely, nothing to be concerned over. I would still maybe bring it up to your GP at your next visit for the reassurance though.

Absolutely! A lipoma or cyst and such can be like that. I have one a little bigger than a BB on my neck above my collar bone that's been there for 30 years and hasn't changed. It's my little bump buddy :)

This has really helped thank you! Did you ever have yours checked out? I was thinking mine maybe a lipoma as its so so small and squidgy and shoots around under my fingers. I guess as I don't have any other symptoms I should just leave it alone?!

When I was diagnosed with Head and Neck cancer, I had a team of 4 specialists scope, poke and prod me to no end. That and all the treatment and followups. Of course I asked. They totally weren't concerned at all. In fact, my radiation oncologist joked and told me to tell my surgeon/ENT that he left something in me during my surgeries! ~lol~

We all have lumps and bumps. That's just the human body. They come, they go, they stay and 99.9% of the time they're totally benign like this one is and you know it ;) Keep up your work with the CBT. You're doing fine!
