Hot fat spat into my eyes.....

So I was making home made "crispy chinese seaweed." This is actually very thinly sliced kale deep fried in a wok. It was delcious by the by.

Anyway because the oil was very hot and the kale had a water content it spat quite a lot - oil all over the damn cooker a right mess. But a couple fo drops of hot oil spat into my eyes. They were quite sore at the time, but I keep thinking they are gtting sorer and my vision is going blurry.

I am imagining this right? If anything was badly wrong it would have been so immediately?

I have done this loads of times Jamesk. The eyes have their own way of coping with us accident prone humans. :) I hope your dish was worth the hassle?
