Dermatologist Referreral - terrified of melanoma

So I went to the GP about my mole and basically showed him every one I have. He said two needed to be checked my a dermatologist just to be sure. So my brain automatically thinks melanoma!!! Even though I did ask to see a dermatologist.... has anyone else been referred and checked and been ok? One of the two he said needed to be checked I've had checked by 2 GP'S in the past. I now have two weeks to sit and worry. Trying not to Google as I think I've seen and read every single thing on melanoma and every Google image.

I have been referred and it was ok. In the early 2000's my primary doctor was doing my yearly check up and said he did not like the looks of some of my moles. I did not have skin health anxiety at that time. I started googling melanoma and said holy crap !!! My moles look similar! I went to the dermatologist and they told me everything was fine. Wanted to see me once a year and I did not go back for almost 10 years :ohmy:. It is amazing how I survived 10 years without having them check my moles again !

I am now obsessed with skin cancer and am finding every little spot on my skin making myself sick.
