I was dreading this appointment for the last week. This derm did a thorough exam of all my moles and took the time to explain any questions I had. Unlike the dermatologist I saw in July this one said he only noticed one atypical mole. He said I should come back every 3-5 years or yearly if I feel the need. This is a huge change from the dermatologist that demanded I return every 6 months.

I had one question. There is a mole above my right knee that peels every so often Never bleeds, itches or hurts. He took a good look at it and said it is a benign nevus. He had his assistant photograph it and measure it. Said it it changes to give him a call. If there was even a suspicion this mole was melanoma do you think he would have removed it for a biopsy ?

So for now my HA is almost non existent. My only concern is that one mole

Hi yes I have to say if the doctor was worried about your mole they would not mess about, they would remove it. My husband had one looked at by a consultant who felt it needed investigating and it was removed a few days later.

Yep, my mum's dermatologist will remove moles on the spot if they look suspicious.

Thank you! For the first time in 6 months I feel calm. I hope this lasts for awhile !
