Hi all me again!
Am having terrible times with his asbestos exposure worry.
Am away at the moment so cannot see my gp, will do when I get home.

When I get anxieties like this in have to have tests etc to know I am ok.
I feel my husband, everyone whoever saying it very low risk forget it I cannot believe.
I need to know from someone it is definitely ok. Not sure who to turn to for that.
I know it anxiety but I also have to know the asbestos stuff is ok as well.

Any thoughts anyone?

I'm so sorry you're struggling. Unfortunately, I don't know what anyone on this forum could do to help you. There are several previous threads with some good advice and it didn't help. You're rather entrenched in this fear and I don't know what would help outside of professional help. Perhaps when you see your GP, ask for a referral to a mental health professional. You need some tools to deal with your thoughts.

Struggling myself with this I know how you feel its the reassurance monster - you get a bit and feel better but next time it wants more and more and more and eventually even the dr doesn't reassure you enough and you want a definitive test. Then you think the test might be wrong.

Seems like the only way is to stop feeding the reassurance monster.... i'm not saying it's easy because i'm not managing it myself. I keep thinking what if i treat it as anxiety and there really is something?

This HA is a nightmare but at least you are not alone and there are plenty of us on here worrying as well so take heart :-)

Thank you for replies.

I understand what you are saying and that is the problem.

I know this is an anxiety problem but equally started because of the exposure.
So feel it is a bit of both to sort and feel panicky and frightened that if I sort anxiety I may get ill :(
