crackling noise in throat.

For 12 months when i am in bed at night when i breath in i can hear a crackling noise. Also i have noticed through the day i produce a bit of phlegm. No cough or anything. Went to drs when i first noticed it and they checked my chest and oxygen levels which were ok but can't stop wondering what it is. Anyone else had this?

do you get any other symptoms?
like indigestion, a pressure like feeling behind your sternum, your food or fluids coming back up, or burning sensation? x

Yes, I get this all the time. Have done for years It comes and goes but I usually associate it with GERD. It's very irritating but I try not to bother about it. :)

I do have GERD and take pantoprazole but i still have this crackling noise and phlegm.

yeah it will be down to GERD, i'm on omeprazol and i still get it, it might depend on what you eat in the day and or how late you eat before sleeping, but i get it all the time x
