Hi guys,
My story started a month ago where suspected acid reflux kept jolting me awake as I tried to sleep. I spoke to Doctor Number 1 who assured me I was fine, Gaviscon will do.
The two weeks following this I had a pressure like chest pain to which Doctor's 2 and 3 advised it was a chest wall issue and will pass.
When it turned into a burn I went to see another Doctor who advised blood tests. I basically had the MOT blood test for Thyroid, Full Blood Count etc and have 1 slightly raised level which was shrugged off by the doc after double checks.
I also had a recent eye test and the optician advised a 1 point shift in prescription an that my pressure test and photo behind the eyes were good.
Then my attention turned to a lump on my neck which turned out to be a 'small cyst' which 'will go in time.' I spent some time talking to this Doctor regarding my health worries and panics and he advised 20mg Citalopram which I've been on for 5 days. I've had, phlegm, a cough, neck ache, diarrhoea and my first ever chest flutter as side effects. I know this me is likely to make you worse before you get better.
I'm a bit of a recluse now and have been signed off work and spent the last 7 days sat/laid in bed with the tele on drinking water and eating minimal meals.
I now am fixated on my testicles to which I believe I have an ache in the right hand side one, I've done numerous checks and cannot stop checking.
This has been around for just 24 hours but has me worried sick. It could be down to me laying/sitting a lot but obviously I'm getting worked up.
How do people cope in these situations? Is it a case of take the meds and live with it or keep going to the doctors every time something crops up?
Cheers.
