Hi everyone!

Has anyone ever experienced a strange chemical taste, and slight burning sensation at the back of the throat and tongue, as a result of Sertraline?

I recently doubled my dose to 100mg per day, and I've had a strange chemical taste in my mouth that comes and goes ever since.

I do also have oral thrush at the moment, and am taking Nystan solution for that, so not sure if it's making it worse. The Nystan tastes ok, but it has a bitter chemical aftertaste. The chemical taste seems to get worse though hours after I've taken it.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

C

Ps..I also have non-allergic rhinitis, and post-nasal drip - not sure if they could be contributing :/

Try to brush your tongue might just be from the mixture of thing going on

I've had a strange taste in mouth and burning as well but not due to sertraline. It almost tastes like ammonia and I would occasionally feel a burning in my throat but I have GERD so that may be the reason why.
