Ok. So I was born in a third world country and my mom didn't really get medical care during pregnancy. How would I know now as an adult if I have a congenital heart defect? What if I have one and not know since my mom never got those pregnancy ultrasounds. Would it have been detected just from physical exams growing up? I also had a c section, and I thiiiiink they hook you up to a heart monitor. I can't remember now. So is it highly unlikely that I've been walking around with a congenital heart defect and not know it? And if anyone here has had a c section... do you remember if you were hooked up to a heart monitor?

I don't know about the C section, but considering you've given birth I'd assume you're at least 20 years old and I'd also assume heart defection would give you some symptoms by now. If you're very worried just get an ECG for a peace of mind. But if you have no symptoms I'm sure you don't have any congenital heart defects, majority of the population doesn't.
