Hi I have been diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder. I have varying diagnoses from GP's and finally after seeing a neurologist the diagnosis of FND.

He put me on Pregabalin and CBT, the first dose of Pregabalin gave me an intense panic attack in the afternoon so we agreed to continue with the CBT. My anxiety levels went through the roof (with FND you have severe anxiety symptons, then of course I get the anxiety about anxiety and panic attack and finally health anxiety), so back to Pregabalin, I have been signed off sick from work and have been suffering chronic insominia. The CBT has helped a bit but is limited by the physical symptons (recently these have been muscle jerks at night so strong my body can shake violently), and the insomnia. i will be tapering to 150mg a day with Pregabalin over the next few weeks.

Currently I am feeling physcially and mentally exhausted and isolated by being at home so not able to socialise or meet people,
