Hi!
My name is Nick - this is my first post, so we'll see how this goes!
I've had panic attacks/anxiety for 10 years and have been on Zoloft for that duration.
over the past year, I've been dealing with bouts of edema in my lips and eyes - typically sudden onset, and from what I can tell, can only be brought on by stress. Usually I will stay swollen for around 24 hours.
Last night, I noticed a weird feeling in the back of my throat - it felt like there was a "flap" or something that was touching my throat. Upon inspection, I decided that my Uvula was swollen and possibly touching a portion of my throat when swallowing.
Obviously I freaked out, thinking that this was finally the time for me to experience anaphylactic shock.
Today I'm feeling better, but still feel like I'm laboring a bit to breathe.
Does anyone else deal with edema fits when they are particularly stressed? If so, how have you dealt with it?
