Hi I've just joined. Have been having severe anxiety episode since early Jan. I had a health scare (physical) and it sent me over the edge (just a little!). Now am on day 18 of Sertraline 50mg, but as haven't been able to sleep have been on Zopiclone too and Valium for panicky moments tho have used that less. Sertraline seems to be a mild help so far (when I'm on it during the day), tho other times not at all (like this morning, after waking at 4), and I am just Sooooooo tired. Am fed up of the benzodiazepines, but insomnia has always been an issue for me, and I hadn't slept for weeks before the sertraline. Go figure! Anyway, look forward to hearing from you all. Have had minor experiences compared this previously (back in my recreational drugs days in the 90s). Has taken me and my lovely partner by surprise. Plus we have a baby (very happy, well looked after despite) and I am largely a stay-at-home Dad.
