Hey guys,
My doctor sent me a letter saying i had slightly high levels of Haemoglobin from my last blood test in june
Is there anything to worry about?
I'm guessing nowt as he would have sent ne another blood test as soon as he got last years results?
Has anyone anyone had this blood test and what does it mean? Like what could be wrong with me :S
Thanks for any input :)

Hello

HB or Haemaglobin is a protein found in your red blood cells that carry oxygen round in your blood, if you levels are low or high it could mean anemia however the other ranges for everything else you were tested for should be considered as a single diagnosis cannot be made on one aspect of a blood test.

For example my HB levels are fine but my MCV level (size of blood cells are too big) therefore they think I might have a B12 or Folate (B9) deficiency, nothing has been done as of yet because they want to re-test in 4 weeks and see if the reading is the same.
