Memory loss caused by anxiety?

Does anyone have short term and long term memory effected by anxiety? These past two weeks I've been having some anxiety attacks and now that its starting to look better I realize my memory is effected. I'm mixing up dates and forgetting things I did. It's not major but I notice it enough to be anxious and wonder why.

Yes, many occasions of things with memory. There are plenty of threads on here about it too.

Serotonin is the neurotransmitter for short term memory, so since that can be lower for us it makes sense all of it's functions can be affected.

Is your anxiety trying to tempt you down the "other mental illnesses" road? If so, don't allow it to develop another theme.
