I'm scared of tongue cancer for years, often when I'm in anxiety mode I rub my left or right side of my tongue to my teeth gently. I can feel a weird and small pain, but if I press my tongue with my teeth hard enough, there's no pain at all.

So I'm thinking, maybe my brain read the wrong signal when I'm in anxiety mode. Maybe the pain wasn't there at all, because there's nothing on my tongue when I check it and the pain is not there when I push it hard enough.

Could my brain read the wrong signal from my tongue?
